Hello and thank you for stopping by!
we help busy new yorkers live their best lives
We started Hither Hive to solve a few common problems.
Home organization. So many people live amidst clutter and disorganization. It’s no one’s fault. Life is hectic and we all accumulate so much stuff. But disorganization causes stress and wastes time. When your space is organized and you have systems in place, you feel lighter.
Concierge move/settle-in services. Moving and setting up a new home are full-time jobs in themselves! Many people want their homes set up and seek help with tasks such as sourcing furniture, soft goods and artwork and stocking the pantry and bathroom cabinets. Our team also handles space planning, hiring movers, overseeing the move and packing/unpacking.
Move management. Everyone we knew – family, friends, neighbors, colleagues – needed help downsizing older family members from long-time homes to senior communities. Sometimes the move was planned. Many times, the move was triggered by an accident such as a fall resulting in a broken hip. In every case, the relocation required sorting decades of memories and overflowing closets, bookcases and kitchen cabinets. It takes a family 9 months to relocate a loved one. Then, they have to prepare the home for sale. Our team can do it in days to weeks.
We quickly expanded our services to divorcées, families, expats, busy professionals and anyone who needs help.
Our goal is to help you live your best life.
Meet Dawn
founder + Ceo
Hi! I’m Dawn, the founder and CEO of Hither Hive.
I’m a certified senior/specialty move manager, age-in-place consultant and professional organizer. I’m a KonMari Consultant, member of NAPO (National Association of Professional Organizers) and member of NASMM (National Association of Senior & Specialty Move Managers). I’m also a real estate agent.
Professional organizing and move management go hand-in-hand as I help clients downsize, relocate and settle into their new homes.
My many personal moves and real estate background formed my interest in transitions. I’ve moved 20+ times in the U.S. and twice internationally, so I understand your concerns. I know how stressful and emotional a relocation can be, whether it’s down the block or across an ocean.
I currently live in Manhattan and East Hampton with my husband and two Scottish Fold cats. I’ve lived in Luxembourg, London, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston and Vermont. I enjoy running marathons, golfing, playing bridge, reading, writing and photography.
I’m never too busy to come to your apartment or house to discuss your needs.

He finds satisfaction in being able to unburden clients from the stresses of a major move by acting as a compassionate and motivating collaborator.
His 15+ years working as a private in-home teacher and tutor to adults and children have been a joyful and stimulating practice in effective and sincere communication. His other parallel career since he was a teenager is as a jazz saxophonist.
A native New Yorker, he graduated with a degree in music from Oberlin and enjoys photography and cooking in his free time.

Adrienne has enjoyed working with older adults in various settings throughout the past two decades. She began as a resident assistant at an assisted living community, where she cultivated a deep passion for connecting with, learning from, and providing support to the residents. She also specialized in working with individuals living with different forms of dementia.
She then turned her focus to one-on-one eldercare, where built sustainable and fruitful relationships with her clients. Adrienne found fulfillment in bringing an individualized approach to their care, discovering what was most important to each client and finding meaningful activities and ways to support them that honored their interests and priorities. She infused this mindset into her work as the Director of Staffing at a home care agency, utilizing a highly nuanced process of matching each client with their companion.
As an artist, all of these experiences have afforded Adrienne a perspective which has undoubtedly informed the themes that appear in her art – among them, human connection and resilience. She is thrilled to now be a part of the wonderful team at Hither Hive, where she can share her passion for working with older adults at such an important and transitional time in their lives.
